I pitched some ideas to the Boutique Director. (very on brand for me) The ideas:
-
Can I wear a Cartier watch/bracelet while in the boutique? I was curious to know why I wasn't wearing these gorgeous timepieces and bracelets. I supported every team in the boutique so sometimes I would help the clients with a sale. Turns out, only full time perm employees can wear the merchandise....I was a temp at the time :'( it was worth a try!
-
Why don't we have a mini catalog/book for our clients to take home? I feel like I was a little marketing associate almost..all I wanted to do was market the products and drive sales!! And get repeat clients!! I really went the extra mile as a Boutique Assistant :') This leads me to my next point...

At the end of each year, Cartier puts together a"Year of Cartier" book aka a Yearbook. It showcases the new products that launched, the events they ran, and is overall a recap of a year. Once I saw how gorgeous they were in the boutique, I wanted to hand these out to our clients. I was the only employee in the boutique who handed them out. It literally made our clients' day! I even kept one to use as a coffee table book...they are just that gorgeous!

The books given out to our VIP clients were so extraordinary, I always hoped to bring one home! However, a Year of Cartier book will do... :)
The analytical side of me...

When I first started at Cartier, the boutique was very small and our storage space was limited. When I say limited I mean very very limited! We barely had room to hang our coats before the day started. With that being said, everything in the boutique was all over the place and behind all these cabinets in the boutique was one giant mess. As an organized & structural person, I couldn't stand to keep visiting this mess day after day. A group of us even stayed after hours to help organize the place.
-
The idea: Why can't we label the sunglasses, pens, etc in numerical order so they are easier to find? Since jewelry and watches were the hot selling point, the inventory where sunglasses and pens were stored, was extremely disorganized. Basically, if someone wanted to purchase a pair of sunglasses we (aka me) would have to dig through the entire inventory trying to find the 3 little digits that matched the sticker I was looking for. It easily could have wasted 5-10 mins. So I decided to implement a numerical system where all the sunglasses were in numerical order. I used a label printer so all the text was easy to read. This made the whole process seamless. I felt so much better after organizing!!

Trying on one of my favorites..the Juste en Clou, White gold with diamonds.

Creating the Instagram account for this Cartier boutique was so fun for me! I couldn't believe such an edgy and innovative luxury brand like Cartier was Instagram-less! I wanted to showcase the exquisite jewelry and watches we would get in our inventory. We had such beauty to show and I was so eager to show it to our clients in a digital way.
-
I even created professional templates for the Instagram. For example, if someone sent a DM, I wanted to keep the professional brand message and reply back with "Hello, thank you for reaching out to us..." Same for when people commented. It is so important to remain professional in all aspects for clients, especially on a digital platform under a large luxury brand!

After lots of brainstorming with the team, we came up with Little Red Box SH (Short Hills) as our username. Couldn't be cuter.
